Chart Wise - MAJOR LAZER makes way for independent labels on Top 40

MAJOR LAZER, the electronic music group created by record producer Diplo, with current members Jillionaire and Walshy Fire becomes the first artist/group on an independent label to go top 5 at both Pop and Rhythmic in more than a decade (and maybe ever) with "Lean On."  The groups' music spans numerous genres, usually fusing reggae and dancehall with other dance genres. Diplo in an interview had said that Barbadian Pop singer Rihanna rejected the chance to record "Lean On" (more) a track he said, is a bigger worldwide hit than any of her recent songs.  See Top 40 and Rhythmic listing below:-

Billboard Reggae Albums Top 10 update

On the Billboard Reggae Chart new entry Joss Stone's "Water For Soul" is Number 1
"The Cure" by Jah Cure moves down after a three week hold at the top to #4.
"Count Me In" by Rebulution is #6 down from two last week and "Maestro" by Kymani Marley #9 from five last week.
