Artistes and Radio Jocks Show off their Culinary Skills for Charity

Dancehall artiste Danielle D.I. show off her culinary skills when she teame up with Sunjock DJ Calico to win the second SunCity 104.9 FM IGL Bubble Di Pot Celebrity Cook-off recently.  Their winning dish was Okra and saltfish in curry sauce served risen plantain and bammy and a penne pasta salad with sweet corn, almonds and fruits in italian sauce.

Other participants in the charity cook off event were Gospel Artiste Carlene Davis, Reggae and Dancehall artistes Cherine Anderson and D'Angel pairing off with Sun jocks Simple, Crystal Clear and Fire Wayne.

The participants were asked to prepared breakfast and judged on creativity, taste, presentation and teamwork.  The winners won J$100,000 for the Salvation Army (their charity of choice), runners up D'Angel and Sunjock Simple won J$75,000, Carlene Davis and Sunjock Crystal Clear won $50,000 and Cherine Anderson and Sunjock Fire Wayne won $25,000 all of which were donated to charity.

Now that's a heavy breakfast but when it's about a good deed, the effort deserves an applause.
