Chart Update June 13th, 2011
(Kingston, Jamaica) Well folks last week we reported that many of the tracks/singles we’ve
been tracking on the various reggae/dancehall charts over the past months have
fallen off. Understandably so because the artistes have channeled their focus on
launching their summer songs hence, it will be interesting to see which song
dominates summer 2011. Having said that we
are seeing already, some controversial issues surface surrounding our very own
International Female Rapper/DJ for 2011 Macka Diamond’s Cow Foot track. The song seems to be growing rapidly in
popularity in the local dancehall despite some negative criticisms meted out by
other artistes and key persons in the local industry. Follow
this one closely folks it says a lot about what some Dancehall fans like or
dislike, could ‘Cow Foot” rule the Dancehall this summer? Uummh!!

Video Hits Number 1!
Macka Diamond controversial Cow Foot single seems to be booming in
the face of adversity. This week the
video for the song is #1 on local FIWI Choice Top
Ten Chart aired weekly on CVM
Television positions are determined by the number of votes. Cow Foot has become
a dance crave in the dancehall, a move created by popular Dancer Shelly Belly. The video also entered and holds the #10 spot on Video Alley Top Ten chart. On the music charts, Cow Foot is #9 on Stampede Street Chart while making its way on Toronto’s Radio Dubplate Hot Singles List, Blazing Bubblers Rising To
The Top @#4. Cow Foot is produced by

Nature’s Calling - New Entry!
Nature’s Calling by Sophia Squire has been bubbling on several
local charts for quite some time. It is
currently receiving steady rotation on almost all radio stations; the and sexy,
lovers rock single by Sophia Squire has been on Stampede Street Chart for a number of weeks and has hit the Jamaica Music Countdown Top 25 Reggae
Singles Chart over the weekend and holds the #24 spot. Expected to do
well, this song is one in a growing catalogue of solid Reggae music by this
very humble artiste who is also a former Back Up Vocalist of the late great
Gregory Isaacs.

‘Caan Go Roun’ on the Run Run riddim produced by Sting Ray
Records has slide from the #1 spot last week to #3 this week on Toronto’s Radio
Dubplate Top Ten Dancehall and Reggae Chart.
The single remains at #10 on
DJ Gusma Jamaican Top 20 Singles Chart
over in Italy and #15 on Chris Coxson’s Reggae Top 20 on New Style Radio in the United
Kingdom. After 21 weeks the local popular single by Stevie entitled, “Thank You
for Loving Me” produced by Manager Computer Paul Henton on the Bootcamp
Productions Label is #11 on Stampede Street Chart Top Fifteen
Reggae Songs and #7 on Outaroad Weekly Top Ten Chart.

Reggae artiste Easi B’s latest single, ‘Why’ continues to hold the #18 spot on Chris Coxson’s Reggae Top 20 Chart on New Style Radio in the United Kingdom this week. Easi B has hit the top spot on the highly
competitive Choice FM Chart in the UK before and so it will be interesting to
see how this one goes. Popular Reggae artiste Nesbeth, “A Nuh So Mi Waan
Live’ single produced by Jan Biggs remains at #16 on DJ Gusma Jamaican Top 20 Singles in Italy. The artiste’s summer single is a track
entitled, Friend For Sale produced by NCF Production.
