Nesbeth Looks Forward to Performing on Calgary Int’l Reggae Fest

(Kingston, Jamaica Aug 11, 2010) Jamaicans observed Emancipation Day on Monday August 2 nd and celebrated 48 years of Independence on August 6 th , 2010.  The celebrations came right after the suspension of a two month long State of Emergency in Kingston and St. Andrew.  Entertainment was inevitable; the spirit of Emancipation and Independence was felt across the island like it has never been for the past 20 years.  The artistes knew they had a role to play, they too felt the brunt of the pressure brought about by the changes and so both artistes and people welcome the summer events immensely.  The annual, “A St. Mary Mi Come From” event which is produced by Reggae artiste Capleton, was on schedule to kick off on August 6 th in the southern parish of St. Mary.  Thousands came out to be entertained by the huge line-up of popular Reggae and Dancehall artistes among them was the unique sounding, soft spoken, Reggae artiste Nesbeth.  Nesbeth sta
