New Image Promotions Artistes Update 4/02/10

Sophia Brown’s recently released video for her current single Gimmi That Good Love, has hit number one this week on CVM Hitlist, Brown is back on the island from L.A. where she had gone for a performance at the Roxy’s. Sophia Brown recently inked a distribution deal with Universal Records and in a matter of days her Gimmi That Good Love single will be available at all major music outlets to include Starbucks, Best Buy, Walmart and Sprint. Sophia Brown returns to the island to attend the EME (Excellence in Music and Entertainment) Awards where she is nominated in the category of "Best Female Vocalist". Thereafter she leaves for LA to prepare for her first US tour opening for Rapper Scarface.

DJ Currency unleashed his best performance yet at “Mix It Fridaays” last weekend at The Roof located at 07 Half Way Tree Road. Currency had patrons dancing up a sweat and ‘bussing blanks’ to his selections as he launched into one hour of red hot, blazing high energy performance. Many female patrons were seen backing it up on their male counterpart as they get on bad at the sound of the music. Such was DJ Currency performance that immediately after, several party fans scrambled to take photos with him “for facebook of course” said one excited female fan. DJ Currency who celebrates his 21st birthday on Thursday February 4th and plays next at Club Afrodiziac on Saturday February 6th.

Cush Hunta’s celebrates his birthday this Saturday February 6th at Club Afrodiziac, Portmore Heart Academy. The party which is sponsored by “Taste the tropics” a new energy drink on the market, will kick off at 9pm to much excitement and fan fare while DJ Currency and Ryme Up, two up and coming party blaster selectors kick off the night’s proceeding with an up tempo party vibes before the introduction of Guest DJS Smurf, Johnny Kool and Fresh Fridays crowd pullers DJ Krazy Dean and Santana heats up the place.

Singer/Songwriter Greg Nesbeth who has been in the shadows continue to rise in pursuit of a life long dream of becoming an internationally acclaimed artiste in this new decade. Since teaming up with producer Jan Biggs both have created a synergy among them that seems to have found its place in the local industry. Nesbeth is now enjoying some positive feedback for his work not only from fans but importantly from various media representatives, some of whom have invited him to sit a number of radio interviews. His current single, A Nuh So Me Waan Live and hit single Drive By are now being played concurrently on number of major radio stations both locally and internationally. The demand for his appearance on major shows is steadily increasing which is good because it would have put into perspective the results of his efforts over the years.

HIGHLIGHTS!! Tremma House Production has recorded Sweden number one Reggae artiste, Million Stylez on its recently released “Massaca” riddim. Tremma House producers recently released potential hit tunes recorded on the same riddim by fireman Capleton, Fantan Mojah and Teflon as well as tracks by up and coming artistes Bitta, Prrpropa Ting and Craig Scott . Reggae duo Roots Revealers video for their hit single, "Sweetie" and cover version of one the legendary John Holt hits, is steadily moving up the local charts. The single is now in rotation on in Canada which contributes to them being interviewed live on Friday February 5th

New Image Promotions Chart Updates 1/2/10!!

Nesbeth continues to infect the #1 spot with "Drive By" for a second week on Metro Fm in Kenya, while simultaneously on at least four major music charts, which include #3 on Jamaica Music Countdown Chart , #4 on OutAroad Top Ten Reggae Chart, #9 on RETV Top 20 Reggae Chart and #3 on Video Alley Top Ten hosted by Suzie Q and aired each Saturday on Television Jamaica (TVJ).
I-Octane one of Jamaica's hottest reggae artistes continues to bless the charts with his single "Lose A Friend" it has jumped from #10 to #4 on Video Alley hosted by Suzie Q, #9 on Out A Road Chart, #22 on Jamaica Music Countdown, #19 on New Style Reggae Radio in the Uk, #2 Hype TV Top 20 Chart, and # 5 on CVM Reggae Hitlist Chart.

Reggae artist Cush Hunta with his single "Ready Fi Buss" is still holding down the #14 spot on disc jockey Richard Banton's weekly Toronto Top 20 Charts blazing blubbers rising to the top this week. Cush celebrates his earthstrong this Friday February 6th at Club Aphrodisiac at the Portmore Heart Academy.
Texas born Reggae duo Roots Revealers continues to move up the local charts with their cover version of "Sweetie" featuring Chaka Demus which was origanally done by John Holt. The single is holding the #9 spot on Hype TV Top 20 Chart. Roots Revealers
